Stochastics -Theoretical and Applied Research

What is STAR?

STAR is one of the four ‘mathematics clusters’ in the Netherlands. STAR stands for ‘Stochastics -Theoretical and Applied Research.’

The other three clusters are Discrete, Interactive and Algorithmic Mathematics,
Algebra and Number Theory (DIAMANT), Nonlinear Dynamics of Natural Systems (NDNS+) and Genootschap voor Meetkunde en Quantummechanica (GQT). All four clusters are funded by NWO.
